But when I tell you it’s my Grandma’s recipe which calls for sourdough from a family that’s used the same starter for generations & an artisan goat’s milk cheese that pairs splendidly with a local variety of tomato?

Now the grilled cheese is something entirely different.

The story breathes life, pride, & magic into your average roadside diner offering. It supplies something to connect with, to crave, & to remember.

I’m with my high-school sweetheart turned hubby and wiener dog, Pearl, enjoying all the Emerald Coast of Florida has offer (A.K.A. white sand beaches & sandbars galore) & yes, you’re welcome to visit — I love togetherness, remember?

I have a thing for nutrition & all things health & wellness so when I’m not writing, cooking, following Dr. Mark Hyman, listening to Be Well by Kelly, practicing my yogi headstand, doing my Daily Calm, or convincing my husband that we need the $20 bag of chocolate chips made with coconut sugar… I’m typically cuddled up on the couch in my mom’s old college sweatshirt enjoying a good book or going full Chip-and-Joanna mode on the newest flip my husband just found.

    Sting followed by Heart — thank you mom & dad for teaching me good music.

    Black coffee in the morn (recent convert), kombucha at noon, buttery chard (or spicy marg) as the sun goes down.

    I have spectacular handwriting & sometimes wish I could send handwritten copy docs because I feel like I’d get some creds — what kind of creds I’m not sure, but I feel like I’d get them?

  • Guilty Pleasures

    Peanut butter & dates, a hot AF bath, homemade pesto, Anthropologie anything, a good music video, & the oh so very cliche but oh so very accurate dark chocolate.
